The has officially launched in the Philippines. Priced at PHP 114,999, the premium foldable phone brings significant upgrades to its design, making it one of the most durable devices in its segment. The Mate X6’s advanced hinge system is designed with a high-strength material and an embedded slide rail structure.
This reduces the hinge’s folding thickness by 12% and unfolded thickness by 14%, giving it a sleeker and more compact design without sacrificing durability. The hinge is made from 100% 1900MPa ultra-high-strength steel that is 27% stronger than its predecessor’s. This ensures the hinge stays intact, whether opening or closing countless times.
It can even be clipped and lifted with a piece of paper, still staying durable and functional. The Mate X6 has also set new benchmarks for strength and durability with inner screens that are strong enough to lift a motorcycle. It features a composite laminated structure with a carbon fiber support layer, boasting a deformation resistance of 380GPa and a 65% increase in material stiffness.
This allows users to fold and unfold their phones countless times without worrying about accidental cracks. Additionally, the materials used on the screen ensure it remains crease-free. This durability also extends the device’s lifespan, while providing an uninterrupted viewing experience.
The HUAWEI Mate X6’s middle frame is made from aviation-grade aluminum, which provides greater compression and bending resistance. This increases its strength by 37% and protects the phone from external impact. Meanwhile, its exterior screen has been upgraded to HUAWEI Kunlun Glass 2nd Generation, which significantly reduces the chances of deforming or cracking under external pressure.
The device’s drop resistance has also been further enhanced, now 25 times more durable, increasing its chances of surviving accidental falls. The Mate X6 boasts a lightweight and portable design, weighing only 239g and measuring a slim 9.85mm when folded.
It has a 6.45-inch OLED cover screen with 2440×1080 resolution and 2,500-nit peak brightness, as well as a 7.93-inch OLED inside screen with 2440×2240 resolution and 1,800-nit peak brightness.
As this is a HUAWEI phone, it runs on EMUI 15 with the HUAWEI AppGallery. It is available in Nebula Red and Black with a premium vegan leather finish and offers a smooth, anti-fingerprint surface. The HUAWEI Mate X6 is priced at Php 114,999.
