Wilkes-Barre Area 5, Nanticoke Area 2: At Wilkes-Barre Area, Koleton Davies pitched 2 2/3 innings of middle relief to get the win, and had a double and scored one run, in Wilkes-Barre Area’s Division 1 victory. Alex Hufford had two hits, one RBI and scored one run for the Wolfpack.



Omar Jerez, Jacob Chupka and Jake Howe each had a double. Derek Miller had two hits and two RBIs for Nanticoke Area. Derek Shemanski had two hits, including a double, while Serafino Raggi also had a double.

Dallas 14, Berwick 1: At Dallas, the Mountaineers had 13 hits, six of them for extra bases, in a win over Berwick. Dom Zangardi, Zach Williams and Kaden Coyne each homered. Williams, Connor Healey and Brady Ecenrode each had a double.

Dylan Geskey had two hits and two RBIs for the Mountaineers. Brady Youngblood had a single and two RBIs. Gabe Decker had a double for Berwick.

Kamdyn Mausterller, Luke Sult and Chris Hinkle each had a single. Lake-Lehman 9, Hanover Area 1: At Lake-Lehman, Chris Sholtis homered and drove in two runs, while Sam Finarelli had two hits, including a double, and drove in one in Lake-Lehman’s win over Hanover Area. Will Jenkins had a triple and two RBIs for the Black Knights.

Andrew Morris had two hits, one RBI and scored two runs. Connor Smigielski pitched four innings of relief to get the win. Ben Kolbicka had two hits for Hanover Area.

Camden Kratz had a single and scored one run. Conor Richardson, Tyler Garrison and Logan Richardson each had a single. Softball Dallas 13, Valley West 3: At Dallas, Carolyn Comitz homered as part of a three-hit day and drove in four runs to lead Dallas over Valley West.

Sydney Haydu also hit a home run for the Mountaineers and drove in two. Jade Smith singled twice and drove in two runs. Nina Barrouk pitched six innings to get the win.

She allowed seven hits, one earned run, and struck out 12. Isabella Seip led Valley West with three hits, including a double, and scored three runs. Reese McGlynn and Adyson Kosakowski each had two hits.

Wilkes-Barre Area 8, Pittston Area 5: At the Pittston Area Primary Center, trailing by three runs going to the top of the sixth inning, Wilkes-Barre Area scored three runs in the sixth and five more in the seventh to defeat Pittston Area. Jordan Prushinski had two hits, two RBIs and tossed a complete game to pick up the win. Kayce Martin had a single and two RBIs, while Hope Burke had a single and two RBIs.

Madalyn McGuinness doubled. Lili Hintze had two hits, including a double, for Pittston Area. Gabby Gorzkowski doubled twice, while Julianna Cocco had a pair of singles.

Lake-Lehman 10, Wyoming Area 2: At Lake-Lehman, Hannah Chipego tossed a complete-game one-hitter with eight strikeouts and helped her cause at the plate with two hits, including a triple, and scored two runs in Lake-Lehman’s win. Brooke Reilly had three hits and four RBIs for the Black Knights, while Kirsten Finarelli had three hits, including a double and home run. Alexis Shotwell had a single and two RBIs.

Kai Brown had a single and RBI for Wyoming Area. Holy Redeemer 22, Nanticoke Area 1: At Nanticoke Area, Zoe Pecuch had two hits and three RBIs, and Katie Genovese had two doubles, as part of a three-hit day in Holy Redeemer’s win. Hannah Pius homered for Holy Redeemer, while Abby Williams had two hits, including a double and scored three runs.

Mary Lombardi had two hits and two RBIs. Amelia Schneider had Nanticoke Area’s only hit and scored the team’s only run. Boys track and field Hazleton Area 103, Pittston Area 47: At Hazle Township, Jose Lopez had a big meet, and the Cougars picked up the WVC victory.

Lopez swept the jumps, winning the triple (40-10), long (20-5) and high (6-2). Teammate Franklin Ritz was first in the 800 (2:03) and 1,600 (5:01), and Darren Seiwell won the pole vault (13-6) and javelin (156-1). For Pittston Area, Jalen Moore won the sprints, ending in first for the 100 (11.

0) and 200 (22.5). Wilkes-Barre Area 92, Dallas 58: At Wolfpack Stadium, Wilkes-Barre Area broke two school records in the WVC victory over Dallas.

The 400 relay team set the school record with a time of 43.1, while Kevon Creech tied the school record with a 21.9 in the 200.

He’s now tied with Tim Leonard, who set the mark last year. Da’Von Underwood won three events, capturing first in the triple jump (41-3), long jump (21-8) and high jump (5-8). David Abbey also won twice, first in the 800 (2:16) and 1,600 (4:49).

Dallas’ Hunter Pitcavage earned top honors in the shot put (45-2) and javelin (148-6). Crestwood 107, Berwick 43: At Crispin Field, 10 different Comets won individual events to lead Crestwood past Berwick. Anson Jumper was the lone multiple winner for Crestwood, winning the 110 hurdles (16-7) and the pole vault (12-0).

Ty’Meere Wilkerson was first in the long jump (20-10 1⁄2) and high jump (5-8). Girls track and field Hazleton Area 90, Pittston Area 60: Annie Darr won two events to lead Hazleton Area past Pittston Area. Darr was first in the shot put (31-4 1⁄2) and discus (81-11).

Pittston had two athletes win multiple events as Ali Butcher was first in the 100 (12.08) and 200 (26.08), and Bella Dessoye took the 800 (2:31) and 1,600 (5:44).

Dallas 103, Wilkes-Barre Area 47: At Wolfpack Stadium, Dallas had four athletes win multiple events in the WVC victory. Julia Natitus swept the hurdles, winning the 100 (15.0) and 300 (45.

Tommy McLaughlin had 17 kills and 14 digs, while Luke Joseph had 32 digs. Clark Groth had seven blocks. Crestwood won by scores of 25-17, 25-16, 25-27, 25-10.

Valley West 3, Tunkhannock 2: At Tunkhannock, Zachary MacBain had 14 kills and 15 assists, while Luke Hutchins had eight kills and Rowan Hunter had 13 kills for Tunkhannock in the loss to the Spartans. Boys lacrosse Delaware Valley 16, Wilkes-Barre Area 2: At Wolfpack Stadium, Noah Rabolli and Jaxon Barbalich each had three goals, while Tyler Husejnovic had a goal and four assists to lead Delaware Valley over Wilkes-Barre Area. Chris Devaney, Peyton LaRocco, Phillip Leslie and Colin McGarvey each had two goals for Delaware Valley.

Phillip Allabaugh had a goal and assist for Wilkes-Barre Area. Brady Reh also had a goal for the Wolfpack. Dallas 18, Lakeland 7: At Mountaineer Stadium, Jack Fleury and Noah Greco each scored six goals, as Dallas defeated Lakeland in a Wyoming Valley Conference win at home.

Greco added five assists on the day, while Connor Hivish had two goals and two assists. Jessie Kovaleski paced Lakeland with five goals. Scranton Prep 17, Wyoming Area 5: At Wyoming Area, Jack Rully scored four goals, while Mackie Lynott and Braden McPartland each had three goals in a win over Wyoming Area.

Colin McMullen scored two goals for Scranton Prep, while Grady Toolan had three assists. Aiden Hosier scored three goals for Wyoming Area. Lidge Kellum scored two.

Wyoming Seminary 16, North Pocono 1: In Moscow, Matt Swartz had seven goals and Will Sordoni had five to lead Wyoming Seminary. Dan Fisher added three goals. Zach Evans scored the only goal of the game for North Pocono.

Crestwood 13, Lake-Lehman 2: At Comet Stadium, Aston Amend and Jack Augustine each scored four times as the Comets pulled away from the Black Knights on senior night. Amend added three assists in the victory. Kevin Schlude had a goal and an assist, while Ethan Labroski and Dylan Bellas combined for eight saves.
