
DALLAS — The Dallas and Crestwood track and field teams split in a Wyoming Valley Conference meet Monday afternoon. In the girls meet, Dallas sophomore Julia Natitus won three events to lead the Mountaineers to an 84-66 victory over the Comets. Natitus finished first in the 100 hurdles (14.
6), 100 dash (12.4) and 300 hurdles (44.7).
Morgan Langdon won the shot put (37-4) and discus (112-4), and Gracie Coyne won the 400 (61.5) and 200 (26.4).
In the boys meet, Anson Jumper took three firsts to lead the Comets over the Mountaineers. Jumper won the 110 hurdles (16.15), 300 hurdles (42.
2) and pole vault (11-0). Jack Kwarcinski was first in the 100 dash (11.1) and 200 dash (23.
6). Logan Geskey had firsts in the triple jump (39-10 1⁄2) and long jump (19-10 1⁄2) for the Mountaineers. Baseball Wyoming Seminary 13, Holy Cross 2: At Wyoming Seminary, Antek Evan and Shaun Behrens each homered, and Teddy Kraus pitched four innings to pick up the win for Wyoming Seminary in a nonleague game.
Kraus scored one run and drove in two. Colin Donovan singled and had two RBIs. Ryan Finlay singled, drove in one run and scored twice.
Nick Rusinko had three hits for Holy Cross. Calder Lehman and David Jennings each singled and drove in one. Elk Lake 11, Tunkhannock 0: At Elk Lake, Dawson Sherman pitched four innings of two-hit ball with nine strikeouts to get the win for Elk Lake in a nonleague game.
John Heitsman came on to pitch the fifth. Noah Gesford had two doubles and three RBIs for Elk Lake. Alden Felker had a double and two RBIs.
Aiden Mislevy and Josiah Parr each had a single for Tunkhannock. Northwest 4, Benton 3: At Northwest, Garrett Bau allowed two hits and struck out nine to pick up the complete-game victory against Benton. RJ Moyer had four hits to lead the Rangers at the plate.
Paul Voyton added two hits and two RBIs. Softball Crestwood 11, Hanover Area 1 (5 inn.): At Crestwood, Jorja Snyder had a huge day to lift the Comets past Hanover Area .
Snyder had two home runs, two doubles and drove in six runs on her 4-for-4 afternoon, also scoring three times. Ella Richard drove in three runs, and Brooke Lenahan finished 2 for 2. Madison Ponko drove in the Hawkeyes’ lone run.
Wilkes-Barre Area 13, Scranton 12 (8 inn.): In Plains Twp., the Wolfpack scored a run in the bottom of the eighth inning to pull out the extra-inning win in nonleague softball .
Kayce Martin ripped three doubles and finished with four hits and two RBIs, while Madalyn McGuinness ripped a home run and finished 4 for 4. Caitlyn Sekelsky added three hits and scored three times in the victory. Hope Polishan and Rhylee Bell each had four hits in the setback.
North Pocono 10, Northwest Area 0: At Shickshinny, freshman Ariella Bell struck out 13 in six innings, and North Pocono hit three home runs to earn the nonleague victory . Paige Dymek, Isabella Forgione and Cameron Forgione each hit home runs. Natalia Ninotti and Callie Moyer had the lone Ranger hits.
Tennis Wyoming Valley West 3, Holy Redeemer 2: At Kirby Park, Trevor Klem won at No. 3 singles, and the Spartans swept the doubles to pick up the win. Holy Redeemer’s Frank Klimovitz and Jadon White won in singles for the Royals.

Wyoming Area 3, Lake-Lehman 2: At Wyoming Area, Luca Argenio, Christian Abromovage and Trevor Winslow were straight-set winners in singles to lead the Warriors. Lake-Lehman’s doubles teams of Aiden Gallagher-Simon Jenkins and Mason Ronczka-Rocco Pericich picked up victories.

Xavier Bleiler and Max Bleiler each won singles matches, while the team of Joe Mayernik and Sharan Parikh were also victorious.

Good match for Crestwood’s Schlude boys as Kevin and Christopher combined for six goals and three assists. Jack Augustine and Aston Amend each finished with a hat trick for the Comets as Ethan Zabroski and Dylan Bellas combined for three saves. Jack Fluery and Jack Berti each scored for Dallas.
Scranton Prep 16, Lake-Lehman 2: In Scranton, Brady Holmes scored four goals to lift the Cavaliers past the Black Knights. Jack Rully and Ryan Davis each netted a hat trick, and Grady Toolan scored twice. Hunter Palka and Logan Law each scored goals for the Black Knights.
Delaware Valley 15, Holy Redeemer 2: In Matamoras, Bryson Mackey scored three times to lift the Warriors to the WVC victory. Peyton LaRocco, Colin McGarvey, Jaxon Barbalich and Adam Myers all scored two goals in the victory. Tristan Block and Joey Lipinski each scored for Redeemer.
Abington Heights 20, Tunkhannock 2: At Tunkhannock, Gavin Anders and Gavin Lindsay each finished with a hat trick as the Comets jumped out to a 10-goal lead at the break. Evan Davis, Rodman Azar, Logan Fedor, Thatcher Loss and Adam White all netted two scores for the Comets. Boys volleyball Wilkes-Barre Area 3, Hazleton Area 1: At The Den, tied, 1-1, after two sets, the Wolfpack rallied for the four-set victory, 25-18, 25-27, 25-10, 25-10.
Jordany Rodriguez had 15 points and 15 kills to pace Wilkes-Barre Area. Tijan Njan added 11 digs and 25 assists, Nick Delescavage finished with 16 points and 14 digs and Denzel Herrera had nine digs and nine kills. For Hazleton, Kendrick Ortiz had 15 kills and 15 digs, and Sebastian Burgos added 18 assists, 15 points and 10 digs.
Crestwood 3, Dallas 1: At Crestwood, the Comets won the final two sets Monday to pick up the WVC victory over the Mountaineers, 25-19, 23-25, 25-23, 25-21. JJ Stec had 21 kills and two aces for Crestwood. Tommy McLaughlin had 18 kills and three blocks, and Zach Koons added 37 assists.
