HPD: Man found dead in street of SW Houston neighborhood

Houston police said a man, described as possibly being in his late teens, walked up to a car when there was some kind of altercation and shots were fired.

HOUSTON — Houston police are investigating after a man was found shot to death in the middle of the street in a southwest Houston neighborhood Saturday night. He was found on Caddo Lake Lane just off Avonshire Drive near Bellaire Boulevard and FM 1876. Police said they have surveillance video that shows the man, described as possibly being in his late teens, walking up to a car when there was some kind of altercation.

The driver stepped out of the vehicle, fired shots at the victim and then sped off, according to police. A gun was recovered from the scene. There is no description for the suspect vehicle at this time.
