icked Part One is set to take over with and starring in the new movie based on the famous Broadway musical, which in itself is based upon the story of the Wizard of Oz. The movie adaption was announced all the way back in 2012 but suffered a series of delays, worsened by the Covid-19 pandemic as well as the SAG-AFTRA strike, before finally concluding filming in January 2024. So now it's finally here, and under the directorship of , it has already been acclaimed with a 91% approval rating via Rotten Tomatoes with the performances of both being praised.
