The Shattered Veil main quest easter egg in Black Ops 6 Zombies is an optional storyline with quest steps that have you hunting across the map, solving puzzles, and more to overcome great odds, unlock powerful weaponry, and see the next chapter in this year’s Zombies storyline. This core story content is no doubt the primary driver for many Black Ops 6 Zombies players taking part, but there are also a set of rewards available to those who beat it without Directed Mode - such as the PhDeadly Operator skin for Carver . If you do it before Directed Mode is released, there’s even a unique Calling Card in it for you too! In this guide, we’ll run through all you need to know on how to complete the Shattered Veil main quest easter egg , as well as all the individual steps like how to acquire the Ray Gun Mark 2 , how to solve the chalkboard puzzle , all Liminal Spaces and Portals , and more.

On this page: Shattered Veil easter egg loadout recommendation How to access Pack-A-Punch How to get Ray Gun Mark 2 and Shattered Veil easter egg main quest explained Where to find the Floppy Disk How to find Fax machine and generated the four-letter word How to solve the Nursery chalkboard puzzle and obtain Severed Arm Where to acquire the free Ray Gun Mark 2 How to unlock the Ray Gun Mark 2 upgrades Where to find the three Canisters How to acquire the blue Ray Gun Mark 2-W upgrade How to acquire the purple Ray Gun Mark 2-P upgrade How to acquire the yellow Ray Gun Mark 2-R upgrade How to access the Blue Liminal Space, find the Sconce, and complete lamp puzzle How to find the Bell and Metal Hip Flask, and fight blue Liminal boss Hogsimi How to access purple Liminal Space and chalice locations Where to find safe code and how to fight purple Liminal boss Ficerta How to open the yellow Liminal Portal and find Aether Shroud items How to solve the library book puzzle and fight yellow Liminal boss Yavax’Tul How to defeat the Shattered Veil final boss Shattered Veil easter egg loadout recommendation in Black Ops 6 Zombies As is the case with main quest easter eggs in Zombies, you’ll want to be prepared for the long haul as many of the steps lead you into the higher, more challenging rounds. That means you’ll not only want a solid arsenal to fight with - with that in mind, we’ve provided a selection of recommendations for your overall loadout, though feel free to employ your own ideas and preferences: Weapon : Player Preference Tactical : Player Preference Lethal : Semtex Field Upgrade : Aether Shroud (Required for some Easter Egg steps) Field Upgrade Augments : Extra Charge and Group Shroud (for co-op) As mentioned, the Aether Shroud is a Field Upgrade required for some steps later on in the easter egg quest. At least one player will need this equipped, but if you're on your own, remember you can swap Field Upgrades mid-match via the pause menu.

When in the map itself, be sure to net the Perks you find most reliable, as well as whichever Gobblegums will carry you successfully to later rounds. We’re thinking of picks such as Wonderbar! or Perkaholic , but even lower tier options like Anywhere But Here and Shields Up can be handy too. Ultimately, these are all additional bonuses that aren’t necessary to use, but should help make the quest easier to complete.

Feel free to use whatever weapons you feel most comfortable with, but always aim for something reliable that'll remain effective for a long time. Experiment with scorestreaks as well, in particular the Chopper Gunner which will prove particularly useful for solo players going up against the final boss. Once you’re all set with your loadout, you’re ready to jump into Shattered Veil.

How to access Pack-A-Punch in Shattered Veil As is common in most Zombies maps, the first port of call is opening up doors, not just for navigation, but for Pack-A-Punch too. Up until reaching Pack-A-Punch, the game will actually guide you via waypoints. Along the way, you'll need to power up an elevator using a Fuse and Circuit Board which you can find from a zombie in the Library and destroying the computer in the Director's Quarters respectively.

Once they’re acquired, they can be used to fix the elevator by interacting with it from behind. Repair it, and then open the elevator with a panel on the front - caution is advised however, as there'll be a group of zombies flood out as soon as the doors are opened. Eliminate them, then interact with the panel again to open the doors and rappel down to the bottom of the elevator shaft.

After you exit, you’ll be greeted by the giant spherical AI, S.A.M.

that watches your every move. Creepy. Continue following the waypoint to reach the Pack-A-Punch machine, allowing you to upgrade your weapons for the challenges to come.

Now you’ve got PAP up and running, it’s time to get into the meat of the easter egg guide. How to get Ray Gun Mark 2 and Shattered Veil easter egg main quest explained Making its Black Ops 6 debut in Shattered Veil is the Ray Gun Mark 2 . Originally introduced in Black Ops 2, compared to the standard Ray Gun, it sports a larger mag, three-round burst and the ability to penetrate through targets.

As part of this easter egg questline, you’ll not only need the base Ray Gun Mark 2, but also the three upgraded variants exclusive to this map. Since the Ray Gun Mark 2 can’t be acquired until Round 10 - unless you get lucky with the Mystery Box or have a Gobblegum like Wonderbar! - you should have a bit of time to spare, so it’s a good time to notify you of some things that are worth keeping an eye out for as you play. Throughout this quest, there are several items that can be awkward to find due to their size, prerequisites, or random drop chances.

With that in mind, below is a list of a few items you might want to spend the earlier rounds keeping an eye out for where possible: White boxes for Essence Bomb required to build Ray Gun Mark 2-P Plant Seeds from glowing plants required to build Ray Gun Mark 2-R Bell for blue Liminal Space quest Combat Axes for one of three Canisters We’ll run through all the specifics and what each of them are used for in their relevant sections, so feel free to leave collecting them till later, but since they have random spawn points, it might make your life easier in the long run, whether you collect them now or simply make a mental note. For those running solo, you’ll be able to save, exit, and re-load your save to refresh the spawns of various items too, but keep in mind this will reset progress to the beginning of the current round. As a final note, for those of you new to easter eggs in Zombies, it’s worth mentioning that many objects and items you can interact with and collect in this mode will not have a prompt, nor a preview of the item you’re collecting.

There are, however, many audio and visual cues to acknowledge your input, so keep an eye - or ear - out for them! With that out of the way, let’s discuss how to get your hands on the Ray Gun Mark 2. Where to find the Floppy Disk in Shattered Veil The first step in your quest to acquire the Ray Gun Mark 2 will be to acquire a Floppy Disk dropped by the Lab Technician enemy who can be found in the Mainframe Chamber after reaching Round 10 . Once they’re eliminated, they will drop the Floppy Disk which you’ll need to use to obtain a code.

If this enemy doesn't appear to be spawning - or you pick up a Nuke power-up during Round 10 - it’s possible they might have been killed already, so survey the area and look for the item on the ground in case it has already dropped. After you’ve got it, it’s off to the East Foyer! How to find Fax machine and generated the four-letter word in Shattered Veil Once at the East Foyer, you’ll want to find the room with the computer and Fax machine - it’s the one with stairs, near Stamin-Up. Once there, insert the Floppy Disk into the computer .

As mentioned earlier, like many easter egg related items, there won’t be a prompt when you approach the computer, but after using your interact button, the screen will change once it’s inserted, and the Fax machine will activate. Be wary of the enemies that spawn in after you interact with the computer, but you're free to move out of the room and into the main hall to get some space whilst the Fax machine prints what you need. Check back after a good fifteen or so seconds, and the Fax machine will have printed a letter you can view by interacting with it.

In this message, make a note of the capitalised four letter word . This word is randomly generated each time, but examples we’ve seen across a few runs are WORM (pictured below), YETI and CRAB. After getting your word, you’ll want to head over to the Nursery for a puzzle to solve.

How to solve the Nursery chalkboard puzzle and obtain Severed Arm in Shattered Veil Once in the Nursery , look out for a chalkboard with groups of letters written on it. As with the word you’ve made a note of, the ordering of these letters randomise across your runs. What you’ll want to do is find each of the four letters in your capitalised word on this chalkboard, and count how many letters there are within the respective groups where each of those four letters are.

In doing so, you’ll end up with a four digit code which is required to open a door in the next step. To provide an example of how this puzzle works, in one run, our word was CRAB. When looking at the chalkboard - shown in the image below - you can see that the letter C is found in a group of nine letters.

This means, the first number in our four digit code will be 9. Continuing with this example and looking at the full word, the rest of the letters R, A, and B are found in groups that each have a total of 7, 2, and 9 letters respectively. All together, our word CRAB converts to the code of 9729.

Once you’ve got your number, you’ll want to make a note of it, head back down the elevator, and into the Service Tunnel. As soon as you enter, you should see a glass door across the way with a Doppleghast miniboss trapped inside. Enter your code on the keypad to the right, and then be prepared for a bit of a fight.

Keep some distance between you and the boss - there’s a fair bit of space to move around in this area, so be sure to make use of it. The boss moves fast, so you'll want to make sure you keep moving. Once they’re down, they’ll drop the Severed Arm .

After picking the arm up, it's off to the Armory. Where to acquire the free Ray Gun Mark 2 in Shattered Veil To get to the Armory , simply head down to the end opposite where the boss was locked up, and there’ll be a white, shutter door you can open with points. Inside will be a teleporter ahead of you, but to your right as you enter will be a door that prompts you to enter - this is the Armory.

You will have a limited time whilst inside the room, but you won’t be here for long - simply head over to the opposite side of the room where the Ray Gun Mark 2 is found inside a glass case , place the Severed Arm on the panel to the right, and the case will open, allowing you to acquire the weapon at long last. Keep in mind that this will swap out your currently-held weapon. Congratulations, now you’re ready to begin the journey proper, acquire fancy upgrades for your newfound Wonder Weapon, and complete some puzzles.

How to unlock the Ray Gun Mark 2 upgrades In Shattered Veil, there are three Ray Gun Mark 2 variants that each function differently to one another, enhancing the original weapon in some form. Each is a different, colour-coded element of blue, purple, or yellow , and features a slightly differing name denoting which variant it is. Each of these are not only strong upgrades from the base version of the weapon, but they also allow you to complete easter egg steps and defeat bosses within 'Liminal Spaces' .

We’ll discuss more about them later, but the order in which you acquire these upgrades is up to you, but access to the Liminal Spaces however requires the relevant upgrade. That is to say, you can't complete the blue Liminal Space steps without the blue Ray Gun Mark 2 upgrade. Regardless of the order, you will however need all three elemental variants and their subsequent steps completed to reach the end of the main quest.

Additionally, once they are built, you are free to swap between any of them at any time via their respective Workbenches, though this does not replenish their ammo, though you can always restock via ammo boxes and Pack-A-Punch upgrades. Speaking of, those upgrades also persist across all variants of the weapon . Where to find the three Canisters in Shattered Veil To begin the process of upgrading the Mark 2, you’ll need to find the three Canisters found around the map.

These are all fairly straightforward to obtain, can be found in any order, but each one requires a specific piece of equipment to acquire. We’ll run through each of the Canisters you’ll need, as well as provide suggested next steps if you are choosing to build the Ray Gun variants and complete their Liminal Spaces together after acquiring a Canister. If you'd prefer to build all Ray Gun upgrades first however, you can read linearly.

Below are all three Canister locations : Empty Canister 1 location in Shattered Veil This Canister is located on the other side of a zombie barrier, in the Rear Patio location, below where Double Tap is found. To acquire this, you must use a LT53 Kazimir grenade to collect it - these can be crafted, or you can use the one found by a dead body inside the Service Tunnel. Once you’ve acquired the grenade, you’ll want to throw the Kazimir grenade on the outer edge of the barrier.

We'd recommend standing a bit of distance away to make sure it doesn’t bounce inside the barrier, which will prevent the grenade even activating - speaking from experience, not a fun situation, plus it costs a lot of Salvage to craft another! If done correctly, it should look a little like the below image, and you’ll find the Canister will land outside the barrier for you to pick up. After you’ve got that, you can choose to begin building one of the Mark 2 upgrades - such as the Ray Gun Mark 2-W - or continue reading to find the other Canisters first. Empty Canister 2 location in Shattered Veil For the second Canister, you’ll want to acquire a couple of Combat Axes and head to the Mainframe Chamber .

You can find one Combat Axe near where you begin the match, next to a Ray Gun workbenches. You’ll want to make a note of the letter on the wall - either A or B - that’s nearby a tube found to the left of the Crafting Table. Afterwards, head to the Service Tunnel and look at the pipes outside of the map - the idea here is to throw Combat Axes at all the valves, avoiding the one marked with the letter that was not in the other room.

For example, if the letter in the Mainframe Chamber was A, you’ll want to have the far left, middle and top 'A' valves turned so there’s gas emitting from them, with the B valve completely off. Alternatively, if your letter was B, it’s the same order, but with the bottom 'B' valve active instead, meaning all valves should be on except A. Once you’ve completed that, head back to the Mainframe Chamber where you found the letter near the Crafting Table and, using an explosive such as Semtex, blow open the gas-filled chamber.

Done correctly, the Canister will drop out for you to collect. After collecting this second Canister, you can either continue to pick up the third now, or jump ahead and work on building the Ray Gun Mark 2-P variant. Empty Canister 3 location in Shattered Veil This final Canister is perhaps the simplest to get, requiring you to shoot and destroy blue crystals using the Ray Gun Mark 2 .

There are four of these crystals in total, and each has a chance to drop the Canister, so destroy each one until it appears. Below are the four locations for these: Conservatory, near Quick Revive, indoor barn area South West Balcony, nearby PHD on the map, outside of building East Foyer, in Fax machine room, on the ceiling Service Tunnel, opposite end from Doppleghast door, on the ceiling This is the third and final Canister, so now you can work on building the Ray Gun Mark 2 variants. If you’ve been upgrading your Mark 2 after each Canister however, you’ll only have the Ray Gun Mark 2-R left to go.

How to acquire the blue Ray Gun Mark 2-W upgrade in Shattered Veil The Ray Gun Mark 2-W - colour-coded blue - is an alternate version of the base weapon that functions similarly to an SMG. To begin the quest to acquire this, you’ll want to take one of the Canisters you’ve picked up to Shem’s Henge and place it inside the yellow machine just up some stairs from a circular arena. After you’ve done that, an Abomination will spawn in, and you’ll need to lead its electric beam attack into three large rocks , before then having it charge into the rocks once they’re powered up.

The images below show this process. It’s worth noting however that this can be fairly inconsistent, since you might spend some time waiting for the Abomination to do the attack you want it to. As these attacks can also kill zombies, you may end up having to run circles for several minutes, avoiding the current round’s enemies, as well as trying to get the Abomination to do the right attacks at the right time.

You’ll want to keep this in mind if a new round begins whilst you’re in this process since you'll have even more enemies to avoid. Thankfully, the Abomination's attacks don’t deal too much damage, so try to avoid what you can, but don’t worry too much if you’re getting hit by its attacks. After completing this step however, the Abomination will despawn, and then you’ll immediately have to begin protecting a portal-like ritual taking place in the centre of the area from oncoming waves of Vermin.

This step doesn’t take too long ultimately, and after it’s over, you’ll be able to pick up a now-powered-up Canister from the machine, ready to be used to enhance your Ray Gun Mark 2. Head over to the Workbench in the Supply Depot - opposite from where the Armoury is - and you can place the filled Canister inside, and then build the enhanced Ray Gun Mark 2-W right after. Now you have the upgraded Mark 2, you’re free to continue reading and build the next one - requiring you have an unused Canister - or you can jump straight into how to access the blue Liminal Space , which requires this specific Mark 2 variant.

How to acquire the purple Ray Gun Mark 2-P upgrade in Shattered Veil The Ray Gun Mark 2-P - colour-coded purple - is the second variant you’ll need for the Shattered Veil easter egg. Like the W variant, this one offers a set of unique effects. Functionally like a shotgun, it also has the chance to spawn a magic circle that provides a short period of invulnerability whilst standing on it.

To start the quest to build this variant, you’ll of course need a Canister - once acquired, you’ll need to look around for white boxes located around the map. Each one has the chance to drop the Essence Bomb when destroyed which you’ll need to charge up the Canister. These boxes are fairly common and simple enough to spot since they can spawn in almost every area as far as we’ve seen, but it might take a bit of looking around since it’s largely down to RNG as to where specifically they spawn, and whether or not they have the item you need.

There are many, many potential spawn points, but we've listed below a few example locations: In the courtyard outside of the main building Between the Conservatory and Shem’s Henge Grand Foyer (main hall) Service Tunnel Armory Ultimately, it's best to keep your eyes out as you hunt around the map as they stand out fairly well, and are often somewhat plentiful. Should you be running this solo, you actually have a bit of an advantage since you're able to save and exit your current game, allowing you to re-load in and have the spawns of these boxes re-shuffled. Once you’ve got your hands on the Essence Bomb, you’ll want to look around for two Reflectors - these are each found in two different fountains, one by the side of the Conservatory near Quick Revive, and the other at the South West Balcony , outside of where the perk PhD Flopper is found.

With all the items collected, head into the Service Tunnel and look for the pile of rubble to the left of the Armor Plate wall-buy. Go up to it and hold interact to place the bomb. After it detonates, enter the tunnel you’ve now uncovered.

After entering, you want to place your Canister in the machine on the opposite side of the tomb. This will cause a blue laser to appear, reflecting between different points in the room. You’ll also want to place the Reflectors in this room too - for the purposes of these next steps, we will refer to them each as 'Reflector A' and 'Reflector B'.

The first Reflector should be placed on the wall to the left of where you entered, in front of the blue crystal (pictured below). This will be Reflector A . The second Reflector you'll place is to go on the other side of the room, on the other side of the big statue in the centre and to the left of where you placed the canister.

This will be Reflector B . After these are in place, melee the crystal emitting the blue laser to spawn in a Doppleghast that you’ll need to defeat. Once it’s dealt with, you’ll need to adjust the Reflectors and fight another miniboss two more times.

Use a melee attack on Reflector A (the one closest to the blue crystal) - this will adjust its positioning and direct the laser elsewhere in the room. Then, go over to Reflector B and interact with it to pick it back up. From here, enter the room's side passage with a slope upwards.

At the top, you'll be overlooking the room below. The blue laser should be firing inside the opening, and this is where you’ll place Reflector B. Once it's in place, melee it, and then head back down to melee the crystal a second time which will spawn in another Doppleghast for you to fight.

Finally, melee Reflector A once more, and then hit the source crystal a final time to spawn in a third, more powerful Doppleghast , who will successfully charge up the Canister when defeated. Grab the charged Canister once the miniboss is down, take it to the workbench in the Director's Quarters - where you acquired the Circuit Board from earlier to fix the elevator - and you’ll be able to craft the Ray Gun Mark 2-P . If you've got an unused Canister , continue reading to learn how to build the third Ray Gun Mark 2 variant, or skip ahead to the steps that require the use of the Ray Gun Mark 2-P you've just built, and learn how to enter the purple Liminal Space .

How to acquire the yellow Ray Gun Mark 2-R upgrade in Shattered Veil The Ray Gun Mark 2-R is the third and final variant that can be acquired in the Shattered Veil map. Much like the other two versions, this one functions differently, with a Marksman Rifle-like firing pattern and the chance to spread area-of-effect damage via an explosion of a plague-like infection. Building this variant will of course require a third Canister, and some readily-available explosive damage - ideally Semtex - to dig up Plant Seeds .

Only four of these plants will spawn in each time you play, and much like the white boxes in the previous questline, there are many potential spawns for these, oftentimes near grassy areas. Below are various locations worth checking - remember, if you're playing solo, you can save, exit, and re-load to refresh the spawns of these: Shem’s Henge Near Quick Revive, by the fountain Garden Pond (spawn area) either side of the bridge South West Balcony Rear Patio, under either tree Motor Court (outside Grand Foyer/main hall) After you’ve collected all four Plant Seeds, head to the Conservatory and find the machine to place your Canister. You’ll then want to place the Plant Seeds you’ve collected inside incubators , and defend them from the enemies that will approach to attack them.

Due to the enclosed area, this can be difficult to deal with - particularly in the middle of a round - but thankfully they don’t take too long to grow. Try to keep moving where you can and take zombies out quickly before they can get close to the Incubators. You'll know when one of the Plant Seeds has fully grown as the progress bar will increase, and the plant itself would've fully grown, as shown below.

If you fail any of these, you’ll be able to retry it the following round by collecting the Plant Seed after it drops out the front of the Incubator. Should you fail and not be quick enough to collect the Plant Seed before it despawns, you’ll have to find one of the plants again to reacquire the seed. To begin the incubation process, you’ll need to interact with all four Incubators inside the Conservatory - below are the locations for each one: Incubator 1 location The first of these is in front of the Canister machine.

Incubator 2 location From the previous location, head around to the other side of the room to find the second Incubator. Incubator 3 location Head out over the balcony, through the door outside and to the left, in front of the fountain. Incubator 4 location Inside the shack near Quick Revive, just around the corner from the previous Incubator.

Once each of the seeds have been fully grown, collect your fully powered-up Canister, and head to the nearby workbench in the Garden Pond area - aka where you begin the map - and craft the Ray Gun Mark 2-R . If you’ve yet to complete any of the Liminal Portals, keep reading to learn about them, but for those who have been completing the Ray Gun and Liminal steps one-after-the-other, you’ll now want to direct your attention to how to access the yellow Liminal Space . How to access the Blue Liminal Space and complete lamp puzzle in Shattered Veil Now you have the Ray Gun Mark 2-W crafted, you’re able to begin the steps that require the use of it.

If you’ve swapped it out at any point, you’re able to reacquire it via its workbench in the Service Tunnel. First, you’ll want to visit the Banquet Hall and find a Sconce in a cardboard box. You’ll then want to place it on the wall in the Grand Foyer - you’ll notice a hole where it should go, parallel with a lamp to its left.

Once that’s done, it’s time for a bit of Simon Says as you’ll need to activate the two lamps in the order presented in which they turn on and off. It’ll start with just one flash, then two, and then three, and after each sequence, you’ll repeat it back by interacting with the correct lamps. The order is randomised, but is fairly simple to follow.

For example, you’ll interact with whichever lights up first, and then it’ll give you a sequence of two flashes between the lamps. You’ll then input that sequence back, and the same with the third sequence. If done correctly, the wall nearby will drop down and you can head underground.

Once inside the room - with the Ray Gun Mark 2-W equipped - you’ll need to activate the machine next to the portrait which will begin a process in which you’ll need to rack up kills with your Ray Gun. You’ll get a progress bar on the left side of your screen, and once enough enemies have been killed there, a Liminal Portal will manifest over the portrait, and you’ll need to jump inside to progress to the next step . How to find the Bell, Metal Hip Flask, and fight blue Liminal boss Hogsimi in Shattered Veil Following this, you’ll need to go and hunt for a Bell of which has many spawn locations inside the Study .

In this room, you’re able to break various glass cabinets behind which the Bell can be found. It can also be found on the floor, or on the desk. If you’re struggling to spot it - since the item is so small - feel free to use some explosives to make quick work of the glass in the room, and then search around the edges of the room, holding your interact button as you move.

This way, there’s a chance you’ll pick it up without realising it’s even there! If playing solo and you’re still having trouble though, feel free to save and quit, then re-load back into the match as this randomises the spawn location, and might move it somewhere easier to spot. After you’ve collected it, you’ll then want to place the Bell on the bar counter in Overlook , which is up the stairs from the Grand Foyer where the T-Rex skeleton is found. If you're having trouble placing the Bell, try jumping in and out of the Liminal Portal before attempting to place it again.

Once the Bell is on the counter, you'll need a gun equipped with the Brain Rot Ammo Mod , then affect a zombie with this mod whilst near the bar. This mod sets enemies to fight for you, but the idea in this case is to ring the bell whilst the affected zombie is nearby, which should trigger them to jump over the counter and serve you - quite literally - with the item you need. This step was a bit finicky for me though, so what I found worked best was to get as close to the bar as possible, affect the zombie, and then using the Mark 2, defeat all other zombies.

Ringing the bell after this resulted in a quicker response from the zombie, though it could still be a little inconsistent, so it might take a few attempts to get this right. Done successfully, you’ll be able to pick up a Metal Hip Flask from the counter that your Brain-Rotted zombie hands over. Head back through the blue portal from earlier and interact with the circular pedestal , and in doing so, you - and your team if in co-op - will all be teleported into the room to fight the boss, Hogsimi .

This boss will consistently generate a shield that can only be damaged with the blue Ray Gun Mark 2-W , so you’ll need that to complete the fight, but once the boss' shields are lowered, any damage will work. Defeating the boss will reward you with a Max Ammo power-up, as well as charge up the Sentinel Artefact, which you’ll then pick back up to exit the room to continue on with other steps. Continue reading to learn about the purple Liminal puzzles, but if you’re completing each questline separately, next up on your list is to acquire the Ray Gun Mark 2-P upgrade - grab a Canister , and get to work! How to access purple Liminal Space and chalice locations in Shattered Veil For this particular set of steps, one player in your group will need to have the purple Ray Gun Mark 2-P equipped.

To kick this section off, have the player with the Mark 2 head over to the Banquet Hall and interact with the terminal next to the portrait. Much like is the case with the previous Liminal Portal, you’ll have to rack up kills with the purple Ray Gun to be able to enter a portal within the painting - this will appear once the progress bar hits 100%. Once the way is open, jump inside and pick up a bottle on the corner of the table .

Upon exiting, it’s now time to hunt down and defeat three 'Elder Disciple' minibosses that spawn after interacting with chalices around the map. You’ll know when you’ve completed one of these successfully, as there will be a red-glowing sigil above the chalice. Here are the locations of the three chalices you’ll need to interact with: Chalice 1 location - Bottlery On a table inside of the Bottlery.

Chalice 2 location - Garden Pond On a bench near the bridge in the Garden Pond area - close to where you begin the map. Chalice 3 location - Overlook/Grand Foyer In Overlook, on a bench alongside the balcony overlooking the T-Rex room (Grand Foyer). After all three bosses have been defeated, you’ll want to head back to the Banquet Hall for a puzzle to solve.

Where to find safe code and how to fight purple Liminal boss Ficerta in Shattered Veil On the walls surrounding the elevator will be a set of three two-digit numbers that you’ll want to make a note of reading from left-to-right when facing the front of the elevator. These numbers make a combination required to access a Safe. In our example, the left wall has the number 53, the painting around the back - behind the elevator - says 14, and the right wall shows the number 13, making our Safe combination 53-14-13.

After making a note of those numbers, head to the West Hallways and look for a Safe - it's in the same room as the Death Perception perk. Select the numbers in order, and if entered correctly, you’ll find an artefact inside that is the last piece needed to activate the boss fight within the Liminal Portal. As was the case before, your entire team will be teleported into this room, where you’ll find Ficerta , an aerial boss with a purple shield that can only be destroyed with the Ray Gun Mark 2-P.

Damage from other sources will only be effective once their shields are down. After its down, pick up the Max Ammo power-up as a reward, and interact with the Sentinel Artifact to return to the real world. If you’re following this guide in order, you’ll be happy to know you only have one more set of puzzles to complete! However, if you’re building and carrying out each Ray Gun's steps one at a time, next on your list is the Ray Gun Mark 2-R - grab your last Canister if you haven't already, and get your last upgrade.

How to open the Yellow Liminal Portal and find Aether Shroud items in Shattered Veil For this particular set of steps, you will need to have someone in your group with the Ray Gun Mark 2-R variant and the Aether Shroud Field Upgrade. Once equipped, interact with the terminal in the Library . Like before, defeat enemies with the yellow Mark 2 to open up the Liminal Portal.

Jump inside the portal, and then back out again and now it’s time to use your Aether Shroud Field Upgrade to find specific parts that only show up whilst under the effects of it. There are many spawn points for these which are listed below, but since you need Aether Shroud charges to see them, it might take a few attempts and checks around the various locations to find the three parts you need. Here are the locations of the three items that you’ll want to check: Nuclear Plant ID Badge : Fireplaces near Stamin-Up, Study, or Banquet Hall near elevator Audio Log : On briefcase in front of Liminal Portal, or on a desk near the bar in Overlook Ledger : In the Study, or on a desk up the stairs from the Fax machine room If you’re struggling to find these items and are playing solo, remember you can save, exit, and re-load to check again.

How to solve the library book puzzle and fight yellow Liminal boss Yavax’Tul in Shattered Veil Once you’ve acquired the three items required, return to the Library and check the three glowing books - each of these will have symbols that need to be interacted with in a specific order. When interacted with, these books will react visually. Going by the image above, for me, the order was right, left, middle - below are those symbols listed in the order you should interact with them: Sideways 6 Circle with a line through it Three dots This was the order for me and appears to be the same for others too, but I had seen some suggestions that it's worth trying another combination if this order doesn’t work - worth keeping in mind should you run into any issues with the order listed above.

If you get the order correct, a door near the books will open. Inside this room, you’re able to collect the Nuclear Plant Inspection Report quest item which also doubles up as the 'Artifact' Intel item. With that in-hand, enter the yellow Liminal Portal and interact with the pedestal to summon the boss, Yavax’Tul .

Lower their shields with your yellow Mark 2, keep moving and running loops around the room and up the stairs to dodge their attacks, and once they're down, interact once again with the Sentinel Artifact on the pedestal to exit. How to defeat the Shattered Veil final boss in Black Ops 6 Zombies Up to this point, you should be ready to jump into the final boss fight. If you’re unsure and think there’s still more to do, below is a full checklist of everything you’ll have needed to complete after acquiring the Ray Gun Mark 2: Collect all three Canisters Ray Gun Mark 2-W upgrade and blue Liminal Portal steps Ray Gun Mark 2-P upgrade and purple Liminal Portal steps Ray Gun Mark 2-R upgrade and yellow Liminal Portal steps Once you’ve verified that’s all done, you’ll want to be preparing for the final fight with all the firepower you can muster.

That means Pack-A-Punched weapons alongside an upgraded Ray Gun Mark 2 of your choice - it seems like the blue, 'W' variant is a popular pick here, as well as equipment like Kazimir grenades, the Chopper Gunner scorestreak, and anything else that has reliable ammo reserves and solid damage. If you’re all set, then you’re ready to take on prehistory in a distinctly Zombies way - simply head down the elevator to the Samantha AI and interact with the panel in front of her to begin a cutscene and enter the final boss fight. Following the cutscenes, the boss will have revealed themself to you: Z-Rex - quite literally a zombie T-Rex! During this battle, you’ll have zombies pouring in and a variety of attacks and manoeuvres this boss will utilise against you across several phases.

Primarily, you want to be aiming for the Z-Rex’s eyes which are where you’ll deal the most damage. Not just that, but the boss can eat toxic zombies and occasionally emit toxic gas from its body. Shooting these areas will cause a greater amount of damage compared to the eyes, and is definitely something you want to keep an eye out for.

Periodically, the Z-Rex will spit out poison, which can make navigating the arena more challenging - this is comparable to the toxic zombies you’ll have faced every few rounds on the map. If you’re running this solo, since the battle is fought across several phases, you’ll want to hold off using more powerful equipment and abilities until further in where the challenge is ramping up and survival becomes more difficult. As you deal damage - usually around 75, 50, and 25 per-cent of health remaining, the Z-Rex will jump out of the arena.

At this point, it won’t be attacking you as much, but you can still do some damage to it before it becomes immune. That said, you’ll want to be keeping an eye on the zombies still in the arena with you, and for the occasional poison the boss may spew. Essentially, that’s the gist of the fight, with the difficulty and aggressiveness of the boss ramping up through each phase.

That’s why for solo players, keeping a Chopper Gunner handy for that last phase will be vital in giving you an edge in survival. If you’d like to see a video that shows this fight in action, Trill Andy on YouTube has a no commentary run of the fight that’ll allow you to get a feel for the fight before going in - but ultimately, it’s about staying mobile and ensuring you don’t get overwhelmed by zombies whilst dealing as much damage to the boss' weak points as possible. Once the Z-Rex is down, you’ll be able to breathe a sigh of relief that this main quest easter egg is now over, and you’re able to close out this chapter of Black Ops 6’s Zombies narrative with further interactions from Dr.
