In Andhra Pradesh, the Vijayawada District Administration reunited 10 missing children with their parents using QR code-enabled wristbands. The kids went missing during the Bhawani Deeksha Viramana event on Thursday. The authorities used these wristbands for children under five, ensuring immediate assistance and tracking.
At least 60 teams were positioned at critical locations, including railway stations, bus terminals, and city entry points by the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) to ensure all kids are reunited with their families safely. These teams tied a QR-coded wristband to every child who entered the city, and each wristband was embedded with the details of the child and parents. These details include a mobile contact number and basic information.
According to the ANI reports, if any child got separated from their parents, anyone who found the child could scan the QR code and get access to the contact number of the parents. Over 12,000 children were given these wristbands. The cops reunited 10 separated children with their families who went missing during the event in the past five days.
Additionally, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu, highlighted the need to empower educated women by creating employment opportunities. During a review meeting at the State Secretariat on Tuesday, he discussed the potential of co-working and neighbourhood working spaces to optimise human resources. In an official statement, Naidu stressed the importance of equipping educated women in rural and semi-urban areas with the necessary skills to enter the workforce.
He pointed out that work-from-home models and co-working hubs could open up valuable job prospects for women, allowing them to effectively balance their professional and personal lives. He said, “Educated women should not remain confined to their homes." Get Latest News Live on Times Now along with Breaking News and Top Headlines from India and around the world.
