New Delhi: Commuters in Delhi can now enjoy seamless end-to-end travel with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) rolling out a new integrated mobility solution on its ‘DMRC सारथी Sarthi-Momentum 2.0’ app. The upgraded platform allows users to book metro tickets and first/last-mile transport-bike taxis and auto-rickshaws-in a single transaction.
Developed in partnership with Autope Payment Solutions Ltd., the initiative addresses a major commuter pain point: bridging the gap between metro stations and final destinations. First-Mile Booking: A bike taxi or auto-rickshaw is booked to ferry the commuter from their location to the metro station. Last-Mile Booking: Before reaching the destination station, the app auto-books another ride for the last stretch. Walking Option: If the destination is close, no vehicle is suggested.
A walking navigation feature will be added soon. DMRC has partnered with Rapido for bike and auto services and with SheRyds, a women-led startup offering bike taxi rides exclusively for female commuters. Commenting on the launch, Dr.
