THREE KEY FACTS: Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) levies are increasing amid an independent review due to performance concerns. ACC reported a $7.2 billion deficit , with rising costs and increased injury and compensation claims.
A Court of Appeal decision widened the scope for sensitive claims, impacting ACC’s financial projections . Last week, I celebrated January 20 by jumping to my feet in horror watching the United States presidential inauguration , only to find myself tripping on the feet of my pyjama pants, leaving my knee – and my pride – badly bruised.
