UK drivers have finally seen relief after petrol prices fell for the first time in six months. Figures out last month showed that since the start of October, the price per litre increased by 5p for petrol and 6p for diesel. However, after climbing more than 6p a litre, petrol hit a high of 139.

Motorists have been advised to drive as if they have a bowl of water on the passenger seat, in an unconventional way to save fuel.
