'House of the Dragon' Season 3 Cast Updates: 22 Stars Returning, 3 Actors Join, 4 Stars Seemingly Leave Show

HBO is currently working on the third season of House of the Dragon and the network confirmed casting for the upcoming season after production began in March 2025! 22 actors are confirmed to return and three exciting new stars have joined the cast of the eight-episode third season, which is now filming in the UK. One major star was killed off the show in season two, so she won’t be back. Three other series regulars were not included in the cast list, so they seemingly won’t be back for the next season.
