Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to a northeast Lincoln house fire early Saturday morning, which resulted in more than $100,000 in damages, according to LFR spokesperson MJ Lierman. LFR responded to a residence near North 56th and Knox streets at about 12:20 a.m.
on a report of a fire, Lierman said. The occupants inside managed to evacuate the home without suffering injuries. Crews extinguished the fire quickly after they arrived, Lierman said.
LFR estimates the damages to be $100,000 to the structure and $30,000 to the contents of the home. The building is uninhabitable from the damage, displacing the family. Be the first to know Get local news delivered to your inbox!.
