Horror as dead body found next to major UK motorway

Police have launched an investigation after a man was found dead in a field close to the M60 motorway. Emergency services were called to land near Sandgate Road in Whitefield, Bury, at around 10.45am on Monday morning (April 14).

The field lies between Prestwich Heys Football Club and Parrenthorn Road, just off a stretch of the busy motorway. Officers attended the scene following reports of an unconscious man. Paramedics also responded, but the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
