Recently, a tipster provided insights regarding Honor's forthcoming foldable smartphone, suggesting that it will be thinner when folded compared to Huawei's latest model. This is thicker than the company's Magic V3 smartphone, which was released earlier this year and has a folded thickness of 9.2mm.
However, it is important to note that Honor's upcoming device will feature a tri-fold design with two hinges, distinguishing it from traditional book-style foldables. Should this assertion hold true, the anticipated triple-folding smartphone from Honor may have a thickness of approximately 10mm when closed, which is marginally less than the 12.8mm thickness of the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design, set to be released in China on September 20.
Although further specifics regarding Honor's alleged tri-fold device are limited, it has been reported that the company's CEO has verified the advancement of this next-generation foldable phone, intended to rival Huawei's product. Chinese smartphone manufacturers, including Honor and Xiaomi, are reportedly concentrating on the creation of a tri-fold device; however, Samsung seems to be pursuing an alternative design.
