Honda hybrids recalled due to fire risk

Honda Australia has recalled 5362 hybrid vehicles across the Accord, Civic, CR-V and ZR-V model lines, due to a potential fault that can increase the risk of the cars catching fire. “Due to a manufacturing defect, the high-pressure fuel pump solenoid valve may develop cracks,” the carmaker said in its recall notice. “If this occurs, fuel may leak and in the presence of an external ignition source, could result in a vehicle fire.
