A pair of Summerville high school football teams blew away the competition Oct. 4. Pinewood Prep (5-2) claimed a 49-7 home win over Wilson Hall.

The Panthers are 1-0 in their region. Pinewood quarterback Asa Windham completed 15 of 17 pass attempts for 315 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for 42 yards. Running back Jeremiah Singleton had 14 carries for 128 yards and three TDs and made three receptions for 66 yards and a TD.



Senior Jaden Bellush led the Panthers’ receivers with two catches for 107 yards and a TD. Terrance Stallworth had five catches for 88 yards and a TD. Jayden Alexander also had a TD catch.

Senior Connor White led the Pinewood defense with nine tackles including four solo stops. Jayden Parrot had seven tackles while Will Watson had six including four solo stops. Carson Good and Dawson Wilson both had five.

Alex Hylton averaged 47.9 yards per kickoff and sent three out of seven into the end zone for a touchback. He was 7 of 7 on PAT kicks.

This week, Pinewood travels to Coastal Homeschool. Summerville Summerville (6-0, 1-0) had a big homecoming game, defeating Stall 77-6. Quarterback Jaden Cummings passed for 159 yards and three TDs and rushed for a TD.

Zavarion Jenkins had four receptions for 76 yards and a TD and rushed for a score. Hunter Schulz, Cayden Clark and Carson Guinn also had a TD catch. Quarterback Cooper Kafina and running backs Theo Marsh, DJ Grant, Cooper Gaskins and Jayvyn Williams also had a rushing TD.
