Holyoke walk to end Alzheimer’s attracts thousands, expected to meet fundraising goal

HOLYOKE – The hardest thing about watching her father suffer from Alzheimer’s disease was seeing him loose interest in walking. Now Juana Santiago walks for him. Santiago, of East Longmeadow, is one of multiple generations of her large family who joined together Sunday to raise money to treat and fight the disease at the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Holyoke Community College.
