Conductor Holly Hyun Choehe has been named the recipient of the Sir Georg Solti Conducting Award.Awarded annually to a promising American conductor who is 36-years-old or younger, the award carries a cash grant of $30,000, as well as career guidance and industry connections.The recipient can also choose to spend the money on anything that would enhance their career, including further studies, language learning, the purchase of scores, or travel.

Choehe is in her third season as Principal Conductor of the chamber orchestra Ensemble Reflektor and is also the Artiste Associate at the Orchestre de Chambre de Genève. She is also the incoming Principal Conductor and Musical Advisor of the Norwegian Radio Orchestra.Previous winners of the Solti conducting award include François López-Ferrer, Keitaro Harada, Earl Lee, Gemma New, Yaniv Dinur, Roderick Cox, Christopher Allen, Karina Canellakis, Vladimir Kulenovic, Cristian Măcelaru, James Feddeck, Case Scaglione, and Anthony Barrese.
