Hoda Kotb has shared a major personal update on social media three months after leaving the Today Show . The legendary broadcaster , 60, revealed she is spending time with her family over the spring break as she posted a photo of herself posing for a photo with her two daughters, six-year-old Hope Catherine and nine-year-old Haley Joy, and her sister Hala. In the snap, the family can be seen smiling on a beach at night, with a bright full moon behind them.

She captioned the image on Instagram , "Full moon...

full hearts xo," as the family celebrated Hope's birthday. Hoda was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007, which left her unable to conceive, but in 2017 she announced the adoption of Haley, followed by Hope two years later. During an interview on People's Me Becoming Mom podcast in 2021, the journalist said, "I tell them they were adopted, and I'm not sure if they 100 percent know what that means.

I always say, 'You didn't come from Mommy's tummy, you came from my heart.' And they understand that." Hoda shares the two girls with her ex-fiancé, Joel Schiffman.

The couple called off their engagement in 2022, but the TV host shared her gratitude towards Joel, saying, "I have two incredible children I share with him. And it's because of Joel that I have Haley and Hope, without question. I think I might have been too afraid to do it alone.

" Fans were excited to see Hoda's latest Instagram post and many said in the comment section that they were excited to see the veteran broadcaster happy with her loved ones. On wrote, "SO HAPPY FOR THE LIFE YOU ARE NOW SHARING WITH YOUR GIRLS!! You are blessing them and yourself so very much! (Of course many of us still miss seeing you) You are making many so proud!" Another added, "So happy to see you enjoying time with family." A third person said, "I'm glad you've adjusted to spending time with the girls you so deserve it.

Enjoy." And someone else wrote, "You all look great !!! So happy for you and your family!!!" After quitting her role as co-anchor of the Today Show, Hoda's focus has now shifted from work to family. She announced her departure in September 2024 and said in a letter to her NBC colleagues, "My daughters and my mom need and deserve a bigger slice of my time pie.

" But she promised she wouldn't go away forever, promising, "I'll be around. How could I not? Family is family and you all will always be a part of mine." The TV star worked her last shift in January, but has appeared on the show occasionally since then, including when she returned to the program last month to reveal she is working on a new book, Jump and Find Joy, which will be released on September 23.

She revealed she finally made her decision of writing a book after talking to her friend, journalist and former First Lady of California , Maria Shriver. She said, "She was like, 'You've jumped your whole life. You were in small markets in television [and] you jumped from city to city.

You jumped into relationships and out of them. You jumped into motherhood. You have a history of jumping, so don't tell me that you can't jump.

'" Hoda said the book includes "different people" she loves who have done something they were once "too afraid" to do. She shared, "Viola Davis, this woman went from on her knees to this incredible spot, and it was an image that caused her to jump. Sarah Jakes, who's also in the book, T.

D. Jakes' daughter, she's a pastor, and she said, 'When you jump, you have to imagine yourself on the other side.' "Here's my thing.

You get one life. That's all. That's it.

It's ready for the taking. It only takes a jump." In addition to the book, Hoda is also working on a wellness app - and while the release date hasn't been confirmed yet, earlier this year she said she was hoping it could launch in spring.
