PETALING JAYA: Malaysia put up a strong fight against China but fell short, losing 1-3 in the Asian Champions Trophy (ACT) semi-final at the Rajgir Hockey Stadium in Bihar, India, on Tuesday (Nov 19). China's goals were netted by Deng Qiuchan in the 10th minute, Fan Yunxia in the 17th, and Tan Jinzhuang in the 23rd. Malaysia's sole goal was scored by Khairunnisa Ayuni Mohd Sharuddin in the 36th minute.

The Speedy Tigress, coached by Nasihin Nubli, will now compete in the third-fourth playoff on Wednesday (Nov 19). Another semi-final match between Japan and India is scheduled for later in the evening..
