HMWS&SB Cleans 2,561 km of Sewage Lines, Over 2 Lakh Manholes in Special Drive

Hyderabad :The HMWS&SB said it had cleaned 2,561 km of sewage pipelines and 2.03 lakh manholes as part its special drive to ensure that the city did not experience any sewage overflow. So far, cleaning work has been done in 19,688 areas, according to a statement.

Board managing director Ashok Reddy and executive director Mayank Mittal praised the field staff for their work, and asked them to take the help of the IT department when needed. The drive was planned for 90 days and launched in October 2024 by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and transport minister Ponnam Prabhakar. The board said complaints were down by 30 per cent.



Based on these results, CM Revanth Reddy extended the drive for another 90 days..
