Hitachi Energy India, BHEL win Rs 800 kV HVDC link project for power grid corporation

A consortium of Hitachi Energy India and BHEL has secured an order from Power Grid Corporation for the 800 kV HVDC link project between Khavda in Gujarat and Nagpur in Maharashtra. Spanning over 1,200 km, the project will support the evacuation of 500 GW of renewable energy and enhance the interstate transmission system.

A consortium of Hitachi Energy India and BHEL has won an order from Power Grid Corporation for 800 kV HVDC link from Khavda in Gujarat to industrial centre of Nagpur in Maharashtra . The project crosses 1,200 km and feeds into 500 GW renewable evacuation and interstate transmission system. Nominations for ET MSME Awards are now open.
