Police have launched an investigation after the windows of a historic pub were smashed. The Swan on the corner of Bradshawgate and Churchgate in Bolton town centre was targeted on two separate occasions The first incident happened on the morning of Saturday, August 17 and the second happened on Monday morning, August 19. A police spokesperson said: "Officers are investigating two reports of criminal damage at The Swan pub on Churchgate .

The Swan Hotel is a Grade II listed, three-storey building that was originally built as a coaching inn.
Built in late Georgian style in around 1800, in red brick with slate roofs, the grand building has often been seen as one of the more recognisable landmarks for people coming into the town centre.
