Read More On the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Haryana and launched a series of development projects, including the much-awaited Hisar Airport. During the event, he flagged off the first commercial flight from Hisar to Ayodhya, marking a new chapter in the state’s aviation journey. He also laid the foundation stone for a new terminal building at the Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar, as per Economic Times.



The new terminal is expected to cost over Rs 410 crore and will include: A modern passenger terminal A cargo terminal An advanced Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower Hisar Airport will now see regular flights to several cities. Here’s what’s planned: Twice-a-week flights to Ayodhya Three flights a week to Jammu, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Chandigarh As per Economic Times, speaking at the event, the Prime Minister said,"When BJP gave me responsibility for Haryana, I worked here with many of my party colleagues. Their hard work has strengthened the BJP in the state.

I’m proud that we are working seriously towards the dream of ‘Viksit Haryana, Viksit Bharat’." The airport upgrades are part of the UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) scheme. This government initiative aims to make air travel more affordable and accessible, especially for smaller towns and cities.
