Patrick N. Hill, aka “The Groomsmith,” a native of Ridgeville, is the recipient of the Palmetto State Barber Association “Barber of the Year” award for 2024. Patrick is the son of the late Gene A.
Hill Sr. and Juanita J. Hill.
He is the husband of Carol G. Hill, brother of Shujuan Hill Shannon and the late Gene A. Hill Jr.
The Palmetto State Barber Association recognized Hill for his outstanding services to 1,000-plus customers of all ages and ethnicities. The association also acknowledged his services to several nursing homes and assisted living facilities. “The Groomsmith’s” motto is, “If I can help someone in need of a barbering service, then my living will not be in vain.
