Highs staying near freezing through a breezy weekend

Winds remain out of the west for much of the weekend, but temperatures remain mild, and continue to warm up heading into next week.

The breezy stretch of days continue this weekend, however temperatures will remain pretty comfortable for the final weekend in January. Clouds blanket much of southeast Minnesota today,however with winds staying consistently out of the west at 15-25 mph, highs will still remain steady in the upper 20s for much of the afternoon. As clouds clear out tonight, we do look to get a little chillier by Sunday morning, with overnight lows dropping back into the single digits.

However, through the day we then have plenty of sun shining on through, and highs stay around 30° for a mild afternoon, with winds staying around 10-20 mph out of the west yet again. ADVERTISEMENT By the start of the week, we are still in a pattern that will lead to a stretch of days with winds consistently around 10-20 mph, however we continue to warm up. By Monday afternoon, highs get into the low 40s with a mix of sunshine and clouds, and we have a similar day on Tuesday.



By the end of next week, temperatures do cool a little, however highs still remain above freezing for much of the final week of January..
