On the right was the Higher Bridge Street Methodist Church which was demolished in 1954.

And on the left, you can just make out the white frontage of the Palladium Cinema which would later become the Wryton Stadium which would become known for wrestling, attracting some of the biggest names in the sport. The building was demolished in 1982..
