A newsagents and convenience store on the High Street has officially been sold, and new plans for its future have been announced.

Brittox News on Devizes' High Street was formerly owned by Dipak Patel but was put up for sale when Patel decided to focus on his other store in a different location. The shop has stood as Brittox News for over 15 years, and offered a pay point, lottery services, as well as confectionary, tobacco, newspapers and magazines. It was advertised as a "centrally located business" with "high footfall and tourist trade" due to its place on the town High Street.

As of April 7, 2025, the corner shop has now been sold by estate agent Christie & Co, and initial plans for its future have been released.
