High school indoor track and field: Mount Academy’s girls relay team wins silver medal at state meet

ESOPUS, N.Y. — In the school’s inaugural season of girls track and field competition, Mount Academy’s 800-meter relay team’s members were silver medal winners at the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday, March 8, at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex at Staten Island, New York.

May Wright, Isabella Wipf, Jaimie Hochstetler, and Brooke Huleatt finished second in Division 2 at the state meet with a time of 1:47.24. Huleatt set a new Section 9 record in the 300-meter run with a time of 38.
