HELENA — It’s February and that means that postseason high school basketball isn’t far away. In Class AA, every game feels like a postseason game since there are no divisional tournaments this season. That classification feels as wide open as any.
Four of the five ranked teams lost last week. In Class A and Class C, there were minimal changes. Class B had a slight shakeup as Lodge Grass was beaten for the first time this season, leaving just four undefeated teams in Montana high school boys basketball: Fairfield, Box Elder, Scobey, and St.
Regis. Here’s the latest update to the 406 MT sports boys basketball rankings. Class AA It might be fair to ask if anyone in Class AA wants to be ranked No.

Class AA Game of the Week : No. 5 Great Falls CMR at No. 2 Billings West (Saturday) Class A There was only one loss among ranked teams in Class A last week as fifth-ranked Lockwood, knocked off third-ranked Billings Central in overtime.
The loss was just the second for the Rams in Class A competition. Central lost to Billings Skyview twice, but has played well enough in Class A to stay ranked although 9-2 Columbia Falls is hot on their heels, having won four in a row after a 18-point loss to Ronan. Dillon's Kyler Engellant (11) looks to pass defended by Frenchtown's Henry Griffin (55) during the Class A boy's basketball game between Dillon and Frenchtown on Friday, Jan.

The Beavers have won nine straight games by double digits but that will that streak will be on the line Friday night against second-ranked Frenchtown, a team they just beat 49-32 a few weeks ago in Dillon.
Class A Game of the Week : No. 1 Dillon at No. No.

The 10th-ranked Red Devils moved up a spot in the rankings thanks to one of the most impressive wins in Class B this season. Yet, Huntley Project followed up that win over the previous No.
2 with an 81-58 loss at the hands of Red Lodge, which moved up to No. 5 this week. There are 10 teams in Class B with 11 wins or more and all of them are ranked.
Lone Peak has 10 wins and is on the cusp. Glasgow was upset by Rocky Boy but remained ahead of Malta due to its win earlier in the season over the Mustangs, however, those teams will meet this week, in one of two ranked contests between Class B teams. Class B Game of the Week : No.
7 Columbus at No. 5 Red Lodge (Thursday) Class C There was just one change in the Class C rankings this week. All 10 teams remained the same but after Plentywood lost to No.
