Shohei Ohtani is continuing to earn his status as one of the best baseball players of all time and his latest accomplishment will likely hold a place in record books for a long time. The 30-year-old Los Angeles Dodgers player became the first player to ever achieve a 50-50 season while playing in a game against the Miami Marlins on Thursday (September 19) in Miami, Fla. .. Shohei is the first MLB player to ever get 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in the same season.



He reached both portions of the 50-50 record during the game on Thursday with home runs in both the sixth and seventh innings, plus two stolen bases. He previously became the sixth player to ever achieve a 40-40 season and he was the fastest player to reach that milestone. Now he’s the first with a 50-50 season! Watch the video below.
