The list is comprised of a few Nintendo Switch exclusives, as well as several third-party partner games.Nintendo officially held its Nintendo Switch 2 Direct earlier this week, where it revealed not only the features of the new console but all of its launch games that you’ll be able to play on day one.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is looking like a pretty powerful upgrade over the original Switch, Switch Lite, and Switch OLED models, but that uptick in performance also comes with a higher price tag.The Switch 2 will be available on June 5 for $449.99, provided the new tariffs imposed by President Trump don’t cause an increase before launch.

On that note, it’s not unlikely that Nintendo could choose to raise the price of the console in the US. The company has already delayed the pre-orders for it, which were originally slated to go live on April 9 (next week). Nintendo will also offer a bundle version of the Switch 2 that comes with a digital copy of Mario Kart World – one of the console’s exclusive new games – set for $499.

99.Pricing aside, there’s a decent number of games that will be available on June 5. However, most of these are not first-party Switch 2 exclusives.

There are 21 launch day games for the Nintendo Switch 2In terms of launch day titles, there are a total of 21 games. Just three of those, though, are exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2. Many of the others were available on Nintendo Switch, Switch Lite, and Switch OLED.

Some are also being ported from other platforms. For example, one of the launch day titles is Cyberpunk 2077. What is sure to be a masterful accomplishment when you think about the system that game will be running on.

That being said, the Nintendo Switch 2 is a more powerful machine. According to NVIDIA, the Switch 2’s custom NVIDIA chip delivers 10x the graphics performance. That sure sounds like it would be enough to run Cyberpunk 2077.

Although it’s worth pointing out that it probably won’t look as good as it does on PC, PS5, or Xbox Series X. Still, it will give more players a chance to dive into the game. The Switch 2’s exclusive games include Mario Kart World, Survival Kids, and Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour.

As for the remaining day-one games, the list is vast and includes fan-favorites like Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. Albeit in upgraded forms with better graphics and more vibrant colors. As well as faster frame rates.

You’ll also be able to play Arcade Archives 2 Ridge Racer, Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster, Deltarune (chapter 1-4), Fast Fusion, Fortnite, Hitman World of Assassination – Signature Edition, Hogwarts Legacy, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening Complete Edition, Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S, Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, Sid Meier’s Civilization VII – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, Split Fiction, Street Fighter 6, and Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut.Several more games will launch before the end of the SummerJune 5 is just the start, and while the list seems small, Nintendo appears to be ramping things up fast. It has several games lined up for the rest of June.

There are also a few slated for release in July and the latter part of the Summer. Another exclusive title, Donkey Kong Bananza, launches on June 17. Then there will be Drag x Drive sometime this Summer, and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment this Winter.

Both of these are also Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive games. There are quite a few games Nintendo hasn’t announced release dates for on the way as well. However, the company has confirmed that the games are coming sometime in 2025.
