The ‘Her Story on Color – Empowered Women in Art’ exhibition was a celebration of resilience, identity, and the transformative power of art created by women, for women. Curated by Priyanka Tiwary , a talented and dedicated individual from Jharkhand, India, the event brought together a diverse group of female artists from the subcontinent and Asia.
Priyanka’s tireless efforts over the past year have been instrumental in organising this extraordinary showcase, which featured live painting sessions, artist talks, and panel discussions. Priyanka’s vision and hard work have paid off, as the exhibition provided a platform for women artists to share their stories, challenges, and triumphs. From bold strokes of confidence to delicate hues of introspection, every piece told a unique story of strength, empowerment, and cultural heritage.
Mathaf, known for its dedication to contemporary Arab art, provided the perfect backdrop for this extraordinary showcase. Attendees had the opportunity to connect with the artists, explore their creative processes, and witness firsthand how colours can shape narratives of empowerment. Speaking about the event, Wafa Alsami, organiser from Mathaf, and Priyanka Tiwary shared, “Every colour holds a story, and through this exhibition, we aimed to give women artists a space to express their emotions, challenges, andvictories.
” The evening concluded with a heartfelt networking session, fostering collaborations and friendships among artists and art enthusiasts. ‘Her Story on Colour’ was not just a one-night event but a movement, reinforcing the importance of women’s voices in the creative industry and leaving a lasting impact on the Qatari art scene. Priyanka Tiwary’s dedication and perseverance have paved the way for future generations of women artists, and her contribution to the art world will be remembered for years to come.
