Henry Winkler's fatherly instincts stepped up when his daughter was about to head into The Bachelorette mansion. During Wednesday's episode of the What in the Winkler?! podcast, the 79-year-old actor admitted he stopped his daughter, Zoe Winkler, from starring on reality TV for her own good . “Do you remember when I was in the running to be The Bachelorette ?” Zoe recalled.
“Oh, my goodness. And we put a stop to that ..
. and only for your protection,” the Happy Days star replied. Henry then asked for a “thank you” from his daughter, which she hesitantly gave before revealing that he had also prevented her from appearing on another reality show.
Zoe claimed she was approached about starring in a series called Quarter Life Crisis alongside none other than Kim Kardashian and Sarah Howard. Zoe, 44, claimed VH1 executive producer Matt Hanna created a sizzle reel with the trio without her dad’s knowledge. “[Matt] came to the house and you met him outside,” she relaid, as Henry confined: "I did.
” The Barry star went on: “I said, ‘It is so lovely that you’re here, I can suggest some really good restaurants, [but] my daughter is not doing your show.'” Don't Miss: Fox News calls out Trump's plan to 'deport grandma' and says 'people didn't vote for this' Melania and Donald Trump's 'worst clashes will be about freedom' but they share one thing Fox News' Jesse Walters not invited to his mom's Thanksgiving meal - fans aren't surprised Zoe’s father may have ruined her chances of becoming a reality star, but she did admit it worked out for the best. “I became a teacher, which was the best job and what I always truly wanted to do,” she shared.
Henry sweetly chimed in by gushing that she was “born” to be a teacher. “If I were a young parent, at the time that I saw the way you parent and the way you taught, I would have stolen your technique and used it as my go-to,” he added. Zoe married Robert Reinis in 2009 and they went on to welcome three sons together.
