Hello Fresh has confirmed the official closure date of its flagship Nuneaton hub. The centre, known as The Beehive, was opened to much fanfare in 2020 as the firm's largest UK operation and third largest in Europe. But last year, the online meals business confirmed it planned to close the distribution hub on St George's Way in Bermuda.

It not only left 900 jobs at risk but also the prospect of the huge unit standing empty. At the time, the company said the centre would remain open until early May 2025. Now it has confirmed that the doors will officially close on May 1.

"We have supported and engaged with our employees throughout this time, including by offering redeployment opportunities and providing a bonus to those who are staying until the site closes.

"We remain grateful to the Nuneaton team for their hard work and dedication." An online auction is currently underway of scores of items used within the huge centre..
