A group of kids learned the hard way that you don’t always get what you want in life, courtesy of Michael Jordan.Back in 2016 at Jordan’s Flight School basketball camp, the NBA icon accepted a challenge from fellow NBA star Chris Paul with a prize that would send all of the kids home happy.Michael Jordan took Chris Paul on and the reward was massiveGettyThen Clippers guard Paul set the rules: Jordan got six shots and if he missed three of them, every camper in attendance going a free pair of Air Jordan sneakers.

The six-time NBA champion accepted the challenge without hesitation. It would be normal to assume that Jordan would inevitably miss the three shots, perhaps on purpose, to make the kids’ day. However, that wasn’t the case, as it turned out even at 53, Jordan was a cold blooded assassin on the court.

Paul even tried to block one of Jordan’s shots but he still made it. In the end, he did not miss three shots, so the kids were not gifted free shoes. After Jordan became the villain, Paul attempted to save the day.

This time Jordan made the rules and offered a chance at redemption. If Paul made all of his shots, the kids would get the free shoes after all.Sadly, Paul did not make all of shots, missing the last one, and so for the second time, the kids were denied free sneaks.

Years later in 2020, Paul reflected on the viral moment and called Jordan out for it.“We were in Santa Barbara and he damn made them shots and they just said to hell with the kids, man. So forget him man.
