Heavy rainfall warnings issued for Albay, Palawan -- NDRRMC

A heavy rainfall warning for Palawan and Albay were issued Saturday morning by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

Heavy rainfall warnings for Palawan and Albay were raised Saturday morning by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC). A Red Heavy Rainfall Warning was issued for Palawan province. Meanwhile, an Orange Rainfall warning was made for Albay.

“Asahan ang matinding pag-ulan, pagbaha at pagguho ng lupa,” the advisories said. (Expect heavy rainfall, flooding and soil erosion.) PAGASA said a Red rainfall warning is hoisted when there is more than 30mm of torrential rain that is observed in one hour and expected to continue in the next two hours.



Serious flooding is expected in low lying areas. Evacuation is a possibility. For Orange, there is 15 to 30mm of intense rain observed in one hour and expected to continue in the next two hours.
