Today's IMD Weather Forecast Heatwave In India: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a severe heatwave warning for Delhi, Punjab, and parts of Uttar Pradesh.

According to the weather department, the maximum temperature in these states is set to cross 43 degrees Celsius in the next few days. "Heat wave conditions likely over Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi and Punjab during the next 4-5 days," an IMD official was quoted as saying. Meanwhile, Delhi's air quality worsened, dropping to the 'poor' category on Monday morning after remaining 'moderate' for the past two days.



The Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 225 at 8 am on April 7, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) , compared to 194 at the same time on Sunday.
