Heated Postgame Interaction Erupts On Field After Vanderbilt's Win Over Auburn

Tempers reached a boiling point after this SEC contest.

The Vanderbilt Commodores notched their sixth win of the college football season on Saturday, taking down the Auburn Tigers with a 17-7 final score at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia finished the day with 143 yards and two touchdowns on 9/22 passing. With this victory, the former New Mexico State QB is now 3-0 against Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze in his college football career.

Pavia's teammate, offensive lineman Steven Hubbard, made sure everyone knew the quarterback's record after the game. "He up 3-0. He up 3-0," Hubbard said.

This same field last season, he beat that [expletive]. He came in here and beat that [expletive]." Several Auburn players approached Hubbard after these comments.

Pavia threw for 201 yards and three touchdowns as the Aggies took down Freeze's Auburn squad with a 31-10 final score. Vanderbilt is 6-3 following Saturday's win over Auburn. Freeze and the Tigers are now 3-6..
