Here’s a closer look at the health benefits of both beverages. Both coffee and tea are rich in antioxidants, compounds that fight free radicals in the body and help reduce the risk of chronic diseases. Coffee, for example, is a leading source of antioxidants in the Western diet, with studies showing it contains more antioxidants than most fruits and vegetables.



Chlorogenic acid, a key antioxidant in coffee, has been linked to reducing inflammation and lowering the risk of heart disease.
