While managers seem to get sacked left, right and centre in modern-day football, getting rid of Dyche is not the answer. Everton are in something of a crisis, and it would therefore be difficult to attract a much better manager to take the job. As a result, unless the club have a high-quality replacement already lined up behind the scenes, now is not the time to get rid of Dyche and embark on an expensive managerial hunt – especially after their takeover saga took ( , 17 September).
