“The Mosque Trust Board will play a central role in the administration and management of the mosque, covering aspects such as cleanliness, maintenance, and facility development,” he said at the ‘Iftar Jamaie’ Sibu programme organised by HDC and HDCam (HDC-AmCorp) at the mosque yesterday.He added that financial management of the mosque would also be better structured through diverse funding sources, including donations, wakaf, and asset management.Additionally, the board will oversee religious classes and community programmes aimed at benefiting local residents.
“HDC also encourages collaboration with government agencies, NGOs (non-governmental organisations), and the community to strengthen the mosque’s role as a community center,” he said.Fathi expressed hope that the local community would work together to invigorate the mosque, ensuring it remains an active centre for worship and social engagement.Later, he witnessed the handover of a donation from AmCorp Properties CEO Azlan Baqee Abdullah to the mosque.
