For the unaware, 1923 is a prequel to the popular show Yellowstone and a sequel to 1883. As such, the story of the Dutton family will resume in another spin-off to Yellowstone titled 1944.The season 2 finale witnessed the tragic death of Alexandra after giving birth to her and Spencer’s son, John.

Further, Spencer lives for 45 years, raising John Dutton II, one of the main characters of Yellowstone. Thus, 1944 is expected to focus on Spencer’s journey raising his child. In an interview with Variety, Brandon Sklenar, who plays Spencer, opened up on the future of the franchise.

He stated, “Oh yeah, we are going to do 1933, ‘43, ‘53, ‘63. I’m really looking forward to ‘63. There’s a lot to draw from there.

Then there’s Spencer at Woodstock as an old man, I’m looking forward to filming those scenes. I think he would be really big into [Creedence Clearwater Revival].”All episodes of 1923 are streaming on Paramount Plus.
