Harry Styles was spotted out and about in London recently with a throwback item fans hope is a sign a new album is on the way. The 31-year-old, who shot to fame as part of the British boyband One Direction , has carved out a well respected career in his own right, with three successful albums under his belt. His eponymous debut was released in 2017, followed by Fine Line in 2022.
His third album, Harry’s House, came out in 2022. The latter two albums were supported by the phenomenally successful Love on Tour world tour, which spanned 169 shows across North America, South America, Europe and Australia. The electrifying, critically acclaimed tour came to an end in the summer of July 2023 and the As It Was singer hasn’t released new music since - but fans think that’s all set to change this year.
Recently, the Harry Styles was seen walking around London. Known for his expressive sense of style, Styles was dressed casually in navy blue trousers, a pale pink collared sweater, and a dark denim jacket. A pair of sunglasses and scuffed up, white Vans sneakers completed the look.
In his hand, he clutched an iPhone clad in a bright yellow case, with wired headphones attached. In an era of AirPods and other wireless devices, it seemed very in keeping with his retro, independent fashion sense to stick with a more classic iteration of Apple earphones. The star was clearly listening to something - and fans are convinced it’s his fourth studio album.
When the images were shared on Instagram by the popular fan accounts, Harry Florals and Harry Florists, speculation and intrigue was rife. One person said: “He’s listening to hs4 [Harry Styles 4]”. Another replied directly to this with: “NO you might be onto something girl”.
A third said: “HS4 running through his headphones”. Someone else queried: “HEADPHONES!! i wanna know what he's listening to soooo bad” which prompted another fan to reply succinctly: “hs4”. One fan declared: “He's definitely listening to hs4” while another pleaded: “PLEASE HARRY.
HS4 IN YOUR POCKET??” Someone else commented: “we allll know what’s playing in those headphones”. Another said: “he’s listening to hs4”. Agreeing, someone else said: “he’s listening to his new album”.
Commenting on his choice of listening device, another fan added: “so humble [with] his little wired headphones”. On the official Harry Styles website, there’s no confirmation of any upcoming music and in the “tour” section, it states: “There are no upcoming events”. Of course, should Harry release his much anticipated fourth album, this could change quickly.
The singer-songwriter is known for his powerful stage presence, his creativity, and his ability to connect deeply with audiences, despite their large size. A fresh tour to support new work seems entirely plausible for an artist so known and loved for his magnetism and energy in front of a live crowd..
