A star of seven Harry Potter movies will be the headline star at an upcoming comicon.

However, while they will surely be familiar to fans of the Hogwarts series, mystery still surrounds the special guest. Spalding Comicon has announced that an actor from the wizardly world will get top billing at October’s event.

.. but they are making revellers wait to find out exactly who they are.



However, they have leaked a few clues to their identity to whet the appetite. “MUGGLES BE AWARE we have secured our headliner guest,” a comicon statement said. “This guest will be our final guest announcement and will be announced on June 1.

“This guest appeared in seven of the eight Harry Potter movies along with some of the greatest movies over the last 20 years. “We are beyond super thrilled that this guest has agreed to attend.” With the guest missing out one of the eight Harry Potter films, that rules out movie mainstays including Daniel Radcliffe Harry), Emma Watson (Hermione), Rupert Grint (Ron), Tom Felton (Draco), Matthew Lewis (Neville), Bonnie Wright (Ginny), James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George), Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid), Alan Rickman (Snape), Warwick Davies (Filius Flitwick and Griphook the Goblin).

Already confirmed to appear at this year’s Spalding Comicon are Doctor Who stars Sylvester McCoy, who played the Doctor for 42 episodes in the 1980s, and Sophie Aldred, who played his assistant Ace, plus child star Lily Baker, who appeared in the 2023 Christmas special. Also confirmed will be Hattie Hayridge, who played Holly in Red Dwarf, and Clem So, who has appeared in Star Wars, Mission Impossible, Doctor Who, Dr Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, Pokemon: Detective Pikachu and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. Meanwhile, Filiz Fairweather has also been recently added to the roster.

She has appeared in a number of TV shows and movies including Wicked, Pokemon: Detective Pikachu, The Witcher, Ted Lasso and Black Mirror. The event will return to Springfields Events and Conference Centre on October 18, with the inaugural Spalding Card Show offering trading card fans a treat the following day.
