COLORADO, USA — Democrat Kamala Harris has won Colorado's electoral votes, the AP projects. The AP called the Colorado race for Harris at 8:08 p.m.

More Results » Harris had led Republican former President Donald Trump in Colorado polls by anywhere between 10 to 15 points since announcing her candidacy, according to poll analysis from FiveThirtyEight. For the fourth election cycle in a row, Colorado wasn’t considered a battleground state.



According to most projections ahead of Election Day, Harris was expected to win in the state, which has gone Democratic in its presidential choice since 2008. In 2020, Joe Biden won 55% of the state's vote to Donald Trump's 41%. In 2016, Hillary Clinton got 48.

16% of the vote, while Trump got 43.25%. The state went with Barack Obama in 2012 and 2008.

Before that, the state was solidly Republican in its presidential picks. In presidential elections since 1952, Colorado’s electoral votes have gone to the national winner 14 times. The times it didn’t, Colorado voted for Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Bob Dole and Hillary Clinton.
