Morobe Rugby Union General Manager Greg Colman said the development team was created as part of the clubs ‘pilot project as well in the Lae Ward 2 area, “We purposely picked Bumbu because that area has high crime reports and our aim is to help decrease such activities in our communities through rugby union,” Colman said. He said despite the outcome, the competition was purposely to test out Pirates Club plans for further growth and this tournament has proven that, thus it’ll be an annual event for the club.’.
