Happy Valley beats Eagleton Academy 27-19

The Warriors made the long drive to Maryville on Friday night and came away with an eight-point victory over a pesky Eagleton Academy team. The Warriors controlled time of possession by displaying a potent rushing attack, gaining 343 yards on the ground. Gabe McDougall led the way with 102 yards rushing and picked up two touchdowns.

Ron Paul Parker added 79 yards on six carries, while Jamie Esterline ran eight times for 74 yards. The Royals brought the game to 27-19 with five minutes left, but the Warriors managed to close out the game to preserve the win. A breakdown of the game will be in the STAR ‘s Wednesday edition.
