Hana Bank announced on April 10 that it has received the 'Best Bank in Korea 2025' award from the American financial and economic publication, Global Finance. With this award, Hana Bank has now won the 'Best Bank in Korea' title for the ninth time, marking its fifth consecutive win, thus reaffirming its status as a global financial institution. Additionally, the bank has been recognized as the 'Best Foreign Exchange Bank in Korea' for 24 consecutive years and has also secured the 'Best Trade Finance Bank in Korea' title for the 24th time, demonstrating its expertise and competitiveness in these areas.
Global Finance noted, “Hana Bank has achieved excellent results in digital finance innovation based on AI, providing customer-focused financial services and exhibiting long-term stability, playing a pivotal role in the international financial market.” The publication further explained that the bank was highly regarded for its effective management of assets and liabilities and its close reflection of customer needs amidst a rapidly changing financial environment. An official from Hana Bank's Global FI Division stated, “This award confirms that Hana Bank continuously maintains leadership in the global financial market.
We will strive to provide customer-centric financial services and aim to become a globally trusted leading bank as we adapt to an evolving financial landscape.” Meanwhile, Hana Bank has the largest overseas network among domestic commercial banks, with branches in 26 countries, actively supporting domestic companies in their international market ventures. Last year, it opened offices in Budapest, Hungary, and Monterrey, Mexico, and this year is working on establishing a new channel in Poland, further advancing its global financial business expansion.
