Read More Hailey Bieber has addressed claims suggesting she threw shade at Selena Gomez with a social media ‘like.’ A TikTok creator named Courtney recently alleged that Hailey, 28, had engaged with one of their past videos — a clip in which they admitted to being “a little shady" about Gomez, 32, and her fiance, Benny Blanco. The video mocked a recent Interview magazine photoshoot featuring the couple.



However, Hailey’s team has since refuted the claims, dismissing the narrative as misleading. “This never happened. This entire story has been fabricated by a content creator looking to capitalise off of an old, tired narrative," her representative told Us Weekly on March 9.

The original TikTok post, shared by Courtney on February 14, featured a series of photos from the Interview shoot with the caption, “I genuinely can’t decide which is the worst." They didn’t hold back in their commentary either, writing over the clip, “Sorry to do this to everyone but I had to look at these photos so you do too." The caption read, “This is the WORST," reports People.

For years, speculation has swirled around Hailey and Selena, mostly due to their shared connection to Justin Bieber. The pop star had an on-again, off-again relationship with Gomez from 2010 to 2018 before exchanging vows with Hailey in a courthouse ceremony in September 2018. A year later, they hosted a bigger wedding celebration in South Carolina.

Despite the persistent rumours of a rift, Hailey has publicly supported Gomez on multiple occasions. When Gomez and Blanco announced their engagement in December 2024, Hailey even liked the post. According to People, in September 2022, Hailey directly addressed the speculation surrounding her and Gomez during an interview on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast.

She made it clear that drama isn’t her style. “It is not my character to mess with someone’s relationship. It’s all love," she said, adding that she holds no animosity toward Gomez.
